Vera has an acting degree from the UK’s oldest drama school LAMDA. She was signed up by one of the leading talent agencies Curtis Brown upon graduation and since then worked in film, TV, theatre and radio in the UK and internationally. Currently she’s represented by a new up-and-coming agency Hatch. Her first job, while she was still at school, was with Alfonso Cuaron in The Children of Men. She worked alongside Steve Coogan in Michael Winterbottom‘s The Look of Love and with James Corden and Mathew Horne in their first feature Vampire Killers. She’s mostly known for her role as Elena in cult comedy series Peep Show (season 6), where she worked with Olivia Colman, David Mitchell and Robert Webb. Recently she’s acted with Charles Dance , Lotte Verbeek and Sverrir Gudnason in The Book of Vision, executively produced by Terrence Malick and Malick-inspired Canadian feature They Who Surround Us, directed by LA-based actor/director Troy Ruptash.
